This is a great book filled with native american history and culture!! I highly recommend it!
Found this an enjoyable read, once you get past author's style of writing. Appears like he wrote a couple of paragraphs then left them sit for awhile, comes back and writes a few more. This made it a bit of a chore with continuity of story. As story progressed I found it that I wanted it to be longer.
Great book all around. Whether you're looking for a gripping story you can't put down, or want to get an insight into the everyday culture of the Native Americans that lived in this rarely written about area of the Pacific Northwest I highly recommend this book. The author provides many detailed and interesting facts about the characters and their everyday lives. You can also tell the author is sharing with the reader his real life experiences and knowledge gained in this part of the country, like a Patrick F. McManus book, but skillfully written into a fiction novel. Must read for anyone who loves history and the great outdoors.
